Scottish Environment Protection Agency and FTI Consulting shortlisted for Best financial wellbeing strategy – small employer

Scottish Environment Protection AgencyScottish Environment Protection Agency and FTI Consulting have been shortlisted for Best financial wellbeing strategy – small employer at the Employee Benefits Awards 2024.

The financial wellbeing category recognises the work of employers that have taken a proactive approach to their employees’ financial needs and support their staff to make positive financial, retirement or investment-related benefits decisions. It celebrates employers that improved and assisted their employees’ financial wellbeing during 2023.

Last year, the large and small employer categories were combined and the award was won by Tesco Stores. The judges commented that its approach, which was initially introduced in 2018 following a report that found that its employees were the second highest users of payday loans, felt supportive rather than reactive to a particular scenario, as evidenced through its strong results.

The judges said: “For a large organisation, it has put a lot towards this with a lot of thought. Its innovation recognised its diverse workforce and attempted to reach everyone through all available means.”

The full category shortlist is:
