EXCLUSIVE: Oliver Payne (pictured), international pensions and data analytics manager at Ford Motor Company, has been revealed as one of the speakers at Employee Benefits Live 2022.

His presentation, Creating dyslexic-friendly pensions communications, will be part of the conference’s financial reward and pensions stream, and will take place in Theatre Two at 11.15am on Thursday 6 October.

Payne has responsibility for Ford’s global pensions outside of the US, covering liabilities worth $50 billion (£43.5 billion) across 43 countries for more than 100,000 employees. He also leads on several data analytics projects in the reward team.

During the session, Payne will share practical learnings from his own experience, such as a recent project he worked on with Legal and General and Like Minds.

He said: “I’ll be discussing the story behind the dyslexic friendly pensions communications project and showing through my presentation what we’ve learnt about the power of dyslexic thinking and how to write better pensions communication strategies not just for those with dyslexia, but for neurodivergent employees too.

“Focusing on an average employee is a dangerous idea, as many dyslexic employees are above average, so starting to think about the level above or below is a great way to look at improving communications.”

Payne added that he hopes delegates attending the presentation will be inspired and encouraged to start thinking about and putting into place their own different ideas, and that they will find the project findings useful for their own businesses.

Employee Benefits Live 2022 will take place on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 October 2022 at ExCeL London.

It is Europe’s largest dedicated reward and benefits event for the HR and reward industry, providing the opportunity for more than 1,500 compensation, benefits and HR professionals to learn and be inspired by leading figures in the industry, through keynotes, case studies, panel debates and practical ‘How To’ sessions.
