Learnd launches electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme

Learnd salary sacrifice schemeLearnd has introduced an electric vehicle (EV) salary sacrifice scheme for 200 eligible employees.

The scheme, which is provided by fleet management firm Gofor, was rolled out to employees via a webinar.  Learnd staff can view a wide choice of EV options to cater for a range of budgets, including the Tesla Long Range Model Y and Model 3, and also have the ability to compare personal leasing costs with salary sacrifice though a dedicated portal.

To make the switch to electric vehicles easier for its employees, Learnd has installed multiple workplace charging points and has provided home charging installation for some job roles.

Learnd initially appointed Gofor as its sole supplier to decarbonise and manage its 100-strong fleet in January 2023.

Andrew Bishop, group health, safety and compliance manager at Learnd, said: “Gofor’s expertise in supporting our transition to lower carbon vehicles has been invaluable. At Learnd, net zero isn’t just an end goal, it’s a philosophy we integrate into every decision, so it’s crucial our employee cars align to that overall vision.

“EV salary sacrifice is tax-efficient for both employee and employer. We’ve seen really high engagement so far and we expect the scheme to have longer term benefits around employee attraction and retention. With the fleet management in place, rolling out a salary sacrifice scheme was the natural next step to align with Learnd’s strong environmental focus.”
