Something for the weekend: US supermarket Hy-Vee recognised one of its finest employees in style, by rolling out the red carpet for one of the best customer service specialists.
Hy-Vee employee Bob Richards was awarded the Hy-Vees 2020 Legendary Customer Service award for non-stop high-quality people interaction and his scanning speed.
All employees working at Hy-Vee’s store in Marshall, Minnesota, left their posts and formed two orderly lines around Richards, while he strolled down the red carpet in style. The event, which was live-streamed, generated a great deal of attention from his colleagues, resulting in peer recognition including comments such as: “Congratulations Bob. It is great to work for a legendary boss. Very well deserved.”
Richards was joined by his proud family at the end of the red carpet, where he was awarded with a certificate and surrounded by balloons spelling out the word legendary. Of course, the special occasion was drawn to a close by the store manager, thanking Richards for his hard work especially during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
A spokesperson at Hy-Vee said: “We are so proud of Bob. One of Hy-Vees 2020 Legendary Customer Service award winners! Be sure to stop by the c-store and congratulate him on this huge accomplishment.”
