Sigma7 hires first vice president of human resources

Sigma7Risk information and services firm Sigma7 has named Jodi Cheek (pictured) as vice president of human resources, a newly created executive leadership position.

Cheek has been recruited in order to design and implement the business’ people operation, including establishing HR and professional development processes and building a strong employment brand.

Cheek joins Sigma7 from Descours and Cabaud, a France-based global distributor of construction materials, where she was North America HR director.

She has more than 20 years of experience designing HR principles and practices in early-stage businesses. At Armacell, a manufacturer of engineered foams, she served as owner of the Americas region people development pillar. She has established and directed HR functions for complex multi-divisional and multi-national organisations, and led HR due diligence and business integration for several acquisitions during her career.

Cheek is a founding board member and current member of the Triangle CHRO Association, a group of HR leaders within major corporations.

Andrew Hersh, chief executive officer of Sigma7, said: “We intend to be the most innovative global services firm in navigating risk. I am confident Jodi will help us attract and develop the industry’s best and brightest. I am so happy she chose to join our exceptional leadership team.”
