More than 80 offshore drillers working for Odfjell Technology have settled a pay and conditions dispute over work on TAQA installations.
The revised pay deal, secured by trade union Unite, will increase basic salaries by 8% and will be backdated to 1 June 2023. It was accepted by 77% of Unite’s drillers.
The deal also fully converts a fixed-contract payment worth around 5% into basic salary going forward.
In total, the deal equates to a 13% increase that will be fully consolidated into pensions, overtime and future pay increases. It also includes a 15% retention bonus on release from the TAQA contract.
Vic Fraser, industrial officer at Unite, added: “Unite is pleased to have secured a pay victory for our Odfjell Technology drilling members on TAQA installations.
