Natwest Group launches digital wellbeing platform for staff

Natwest Group has rolled out a digital wellbeing product for its employees in collaboration with online mental health and wellbeing tool Just Ask a Question (JAAQ).

The platform, which was introduced as part of the group’s recognition of World Mental Health Day (10 October), will be implemented across the bank as of this week, with the full site launching on 24 November.

The embedded the artificial intelligence (AI) powered platform within its wellbeing hub in order to allow employees to ask questions to professionals about their own mental wellbeing. When a question is asked, employees are presented with video responses from more than 40 expert consultants, including David Veale, a professor in cognitive behavioural psychotherapies at Kings College and Dr Erin Brown, a consultant psychiatrist in early intervention in psychosis.

Natwest employees already had access to a number of tools within the wellbeing hub to help them with their physical and mental wellbeing, including a free, confidential, independent employee assistance programme (EAP) available 24/7, a virtual GP service and the Bank Workers Charity.

I am delighted to be working with the JAAQ team to be able to include this as part of the physical and mental wellbeing support that we offer at Natwest Group.”
