Ipsos Mori wins Grand Prix at Employee Benefits Awards 2020

Market research organisation Ipsos Mori was awarded the coveted Grand Prix title at the Employee Benefits Awards 2020.

The organisation impressed the judges with its approach to mental wellbeing and the overhaul of its defined contribution (DC) pension scheme strategy. The Grand Prix is awarded to the winner of one of the other categories recognised at the awards, marking the best of the best of the year’s successes. Ipsos Mori was also awarded the title for the Best DC pensions strategy, and best mental health strategy.

Lucy Mason, HR performance specialist, human resources at Highways England, received the prestigious Employee benefits professional of the year award, while Benefits team of the year went to Travis Perkins.

In its 18th year, the Employee Benefits Awards, in association with Aon, took place virtually on Thursday 29 October 2020 due to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

Lucy Mason, HR performance specialist, human resources at Highways England, said: “I was extremely proud to be shortlisted, and tuned in yesterday to hear the great things that have been going on in the wider benefits space, so to say I was shocked is an understatement especially against such strong competition. It was very emotional. Thanks to Xexec for the nomination and their support over the last eighteen months and to the judges for thinking I am worthy of such an accolade.”

“However I would add that no one can achieve success without being surrounded by a great team many of whom work in Highways England, particularly the staff in reward and performance.”

Congratulations to all of the winners, highly commended entries, and finalists for the awards this year, all of which represented excellence in the field of reward and benefits during uncertain and trying times for organisations.

Employee Benefits would like to thank our event sponsors, esteemed judging panel, and all of the organisations that entered the awards.
