Pension services provider Cartwright Group has awarded its staff a one-off £1,000 payment in order to help with the current cost-of-living crisis.
This is in addition to employees’ salary, profit share, and other performance-related bonuses, and employees have already received the payment in their pay checks.
Ian Cartwright, founder and chairman of Cartwright Group, said: “There is significant pressure on individuals and families currently because of rising costs; almost everything, from everyday supermarket products to ferrying children around, is suddenly costing considerably more. We support our staff in many different ways, but now is the time when we need to help allay their immediate financial fears.”
Robin Pearce, operations director at Cartwright Group, added: “We are deeply committed to the mental and physical health and wellbeing of our staff. We are proud of the supportive culture we have built throughout the company which encourages people to stay with us; we’ve just celebrated long service awards of between 10 and 30 years, and we look forward to more of the same in the future.”
Cartwright Group follows in the footsteps of West Brom Building Society, which earlier this week awarded 430 of its employees a one-off £1,200 support payment in response to the rising cost-of-living.
Meanwhile, a few weeks ago Yorkshire Building Society gave the majority of its employees a one-off £1,200 payment in order to boost its financial support and help with rising costs. Both employers have targeted the payments at members of its workforce who earn £35,000 or less per year, as have many other banks and financial institutions who have awarded their staff a one-off payment.
