Exclusive: Brewers introduces cancer support benefit

Brewers cancer support benefitPaint, wallpaper, and woodcare supplier Brewers has launched a comprehensive cancer support benefit to provide tailored guidance and assistance for those with a cancer diagnosis.

It has launched this month and is available to all of its UK employees.

Through a partnership with Reframe Cancer, Brewers employees, either with cancer or caring for a loved one with the disease, will receive cancer information, and emotional and practical support at all stages of the cancer pathway.

They will have access to expert cancer nurse specialists who offer personalised emotional and practical guidance on symptoms, treatment options, side effects and rehabilitation, dedicated support managers to answer questions or concerns about a diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan or follow up care, help navigate NHS cancer care so patients understand their options, and daily challenges.

Reframe will also chase appointments and reports, offer a virtual concierge service to assist with day-to-day tasks and managing appointments, help Brewers staff to explore private healthcare options, return to work or continue working through cancer, and provide online resources on cancer awareness and preventative measures.

Brewers made the decision to offer this support as part of its commitment to fostering a supportive workplace environment where its employees feel valued and cared for. By prioritising their wellbeing, it aims to show dedication to creating a thriving and healthy workplace culture.

Jane Clifford, people director at Brewers, said: “Supporting the wellbeing of [employees] is core to our values as an employer. Personal and compassionate support is never more important when an [employee] is facing a potential or confirmed cancer diagnosis. By partnering with Reframe we are able to offer [employees] access to help, information and guidance from a qualified and empathetic expert provided by Reframe. It’s something we hope our [employees] won’t need to use but provides peace of mind if a diagnosis is received. We hope that this benefit helps [employees] when they need it the most.”
