BNP Paribas enhances paid parental leave policy for US staff

BNP ParibasBNP Paribas is to enhance its paid parental leave policy for all eligible US employees.

From 1 October, it will offer up to 24 weeks of fully paid leave for the birth parent and up to 16 weeks fully paid leave for the non-birth parent.

The organisation has made these enhancements as part of its plan to be a workplace that prioritises the health and wellbeing of employees and their loved ones through family-centric benefits. This will provide flexibility for working parents to organise their time in the best possible way for their families.

Claudine Gallagher, head of human resources for CIB Americas at BNP Paribas, said: “We recognise that coming back to work after a new child enters your family can be very challenging for working parents. To support the parents in our BNP Paribas community, I am excited to announce that we that we will be enhancing our US paid parental leave policy. This enhanced policy is a symbol of our commitment towards putting the wellbeing of our employees and their families first.”

BNP Paribas currently offers its US workforce a compensation and benefits package that includes healthcare and medical insurance, a retirement savings plan, family leave and adoption assistance, family care health plans, paid time off to volunteer, and discount programmes.
