Apple, BP, Cisco and Goodman Masson among best employers for work-life balance

Apple, BP, American Express, Cisco Systems (pictured) and Goodman Masson are among the top organisations providing employees with a good work-life balance, according to research by Glassdoor.

Its report, which rated organisations on work-life balance based on UK employee feedback over the past year, also found that the average work-life balance rating has remained at 3.2 for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Diarmuid Russell, head of international at Glassdoor, said: “Maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be tough in today’s environment, with ever-increasing demands on our time.

“However, as millions of UK employees head back to work after enjoying the August bank holiday, our report shows there are [organisations] that offer a good balance between their home and work life. What’s encouraging for job seekers is that there are representatives here from many industries, including recruitment, tech, finance, manufacturing and retail.”
