Derek Crowther said The reason for this email is I worked on the Orsova cruise liner the end of 1967 and the beginning of 1968.I did one voyage to Australia where the ship arrived about Christmas time and after a few cruises to the Fiji Islands and other places it returned to Southampton. I then did cruises around the Med sea until I left the Merchant Navy where I was employed as a Utility Steward. Later on I tried to get reinstated as a Utility Steward but was rejected by the then office in Prescot Street. the staff member said that because I did not work during the particular winter it was unfair to employ me as preference to those who did work through the winter. I know that if I have an amount of money to be paid it will be trivial but it will affect my other pension credit. Can you please contact me and put my pension application on the correct route. I am now 65 and retired in June. thank you if you are responsive to this email.
