Unite Students launches voluntary benefits programme

Unite Students-voluntary benefits-2016Student accommodation provider Unite Students has introduced a voluntary benefits programme for its 1,237 members of staff.

The scheme, provided by Perkbox, gives employees access to more than 100 practical and recreational benefits and perks, such as retail discounts and savings on items including gym memberships, cinema tickets, groceries and travel.

Staff can redeem these through an online platform and smartphone app.

Unite Students has launched the programme to further enhance its employee benefits package and to reinforce the organisation as a great place to work.

Ruth George, human resources director at Unite Students, said: “It’s a really exciting time to work at Unite Students. We are a recognised employer of choice and have just been given living wage accreditation.

“In addition, we wanted our voluntary benefits package to reflect the buzz that was happening across the business. We’re rejuvenating our benefits offering to ensure that our hardworking employees feel appreciated, motivated and happy.”
