TBS Engineering introduces health insurance for staff

Global engineering firm TBS Engineering has enhanced its benefits package to include health insurance for all employees.

TBS Engineering’s more than 120 employees will be able to access to a 24/7 GP service, health advice line, physiotherapy sessions, and private diagnosis and treatment provided by Equipsme.

The aim of introducing this support was to provide quality health insurance at cost-effective prices, while also responding to a demand for health benefits amid long NHS waiting lists.

Jon Curtis, group finance director at TBS Engineering, said: “When we were reviewing our benefits package, health insurance was top of the list. We’ve always had benefits such as a pension plan and death-in-service coverage, but those don’t offer much day-to-day value while alive and working. If we could re-jig the budget and put it into an affordable health insurance plan that could benefit everyone, what would that look like?

“We know that the NHS is still good at dealing with cancer once someone gets a diagnosis, and Equipsme helps them get to that point.
