Something for the weekend: Everyone has their own idea of the best job in the world, but this one will take some topping. Pizza oven organisation Ooni is looking for taste testers, who will eat “pizza, pizza and more pizza” and get paid for the privilege.
Ooni claims to produce ovens designed for cooking outdoors that produce “restaurant-quality pizza in just 60 seconds.” The organisation is hiring multiple people for a number of pizza taste tester roles that will be “a unique mix of recipe development, product testing and brand ambassadorship.”
Chosen candidates will be help Ooni develop and test recipes using ovens in the current range, as well as testing and providing feedback on new products and showcasing the organisation through social media accounts and at live events.
As for the base, potential taste testers can live anywhere in the world. If hired, Ooni will send one of its pizza ovens so that the lucky tester can start making pizza right away. Experience making pizza dough and cooking pizza will, naturally, be a “huge advantage,” but most important is “an enthusiasm for cooking and sharing food with your nearest and dearest.”
The job is a freelance position, and remuneration is dependent on experience. Ooni is asking candidates to send a one-minute video detailing why they would be great for the role and showcasing their pizza skills.
