Lovewell’s logic: Living through unsettling times

What a difference a week makes. When I wrote about the preparations UK organisations were making for staff to work remotely just a week ago, I don’t think I really expected it to become a reality as quickly as it has done.

We are currently living through uncertain and unsettling times. Coronavirus has advanced at such a pace that life as we knew it has changed in an extraordinarily short space of time. With further measures to tackle its advancement and work towards bringing the pandemic under some form of control now being announced daily by government, yet more restrictions are likely to be imposed in the coming days and weeks.

This situation is unprecedented. And, with no way of knowing how long it will last, businesses and their employees are facing challenges in reacting to a difficult environment and the need for a very different way of working.

With this in mind, this week we have decided to do something a little different. Rather than publishing our usual Something for the Weekend lighthearted take on benefits or the world of work, we have instead chosen to focus on Coronavirus and publish a round-up of opinion, guidance and approaches organisations are taking or could consider. We hope you find it useful.

Of course, I’m sure you’ll all agree that a little light relief is still needed in current times, so we have also compiled a round up of Spotify playlists designed for those working from home.
