Law firm BLM is to introduce an online retirement planning tool for its 1,700 employees.

The tool, provided by Portus, enables staff to calculate their retirement income and see how this could change in different scenarios, helping employees to plan for their retirement.

The launch follows a review of BLM’s benefits package and the appointment of Portus as the organisation’s employee benefits and pensions consultancy. This will also see BLM introduce a wider suite of online benefits.

Louise McCarthy-Teague (pictured), human resources director at BLM, said: “We had a thorough review of not only the benefits we were providing but also how we offered a diverse and savvy workforce a forward-thinking and creative package.

“We have also worked with Portus to introduce RetirePort, [its] online retirement planning tool, to our whole workforce. This complements our employee engagement work by ensuring our employees have access to financial guidance and education in relation to the ever-changing pensions landscape.”
