Pharmaceutical services company Quintiles has launched online total reward statements for employees in the UK, Ireland, Spain and Slovakia.
This follows a similar launch in the US and Germany last year. Debra Corey, senior director, compensation and benefits for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said the UK and Ireland were selected to receive statements because of the size of their workforces, while Spain had heard about the success of the US scheme and wanted to take it up. “Slovakia was chosen because we wanted to see how statements would work in eastern Europe,” said Corey, who added that staff there received paper-based statements.
In the UK, 45% of the company’s 2,000 staff have taken up the scheme. “The feedback from employees so far has been fabulous,” said Corey. “I think people in the UK and Ireland are very excited they are the next countries to be selected for this. We have created a global template, provided by Mercer, and then added some local and cultural nuances.”
The company communicated the move to total reward statements using email and text messages.
