Contract hire and salary sacrifice specialist Tusker has been shortlisted for a prestigious Regional Business Excellence Award for the outstanding products and services it provides to fleet customers.

Tusker has been shortlisted for the award of Large Business of the Year for those companies with a turnover in excess of £25m and is up against stiff competition from an array of successful businesses.

The Regional Business Excellence Awards scheme covers companies and businesses in the North and North West of London, South Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire regions.

The competition is sponsored by a host of blue chip companies, including HSBC, BDO LLP, Alliotts and SA Law and is supported by the Watford Observer.

The unprecedented number of entrants and the quality of the businesses has made the judging task longer and more difficult than anticipated, the organisers said.

One of the judging panel added: “We were impressed with all the businesses that entered the large business award category and the Tusker business showed many signs of a success story especially during these difficult economic times.

“The quality and quantity of the entrants for the large businesses of the year has been extremely high, and Tusker, along with the other businesses, was shortlisted by the judges because of the ability to demonstrate stronger growth that supported a solid business model.”

“Obviously, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious Regional Business Excelelnce Award, which we see as recognition of the solid achievements of the business in the last 18-24 months,” said Tusker managing director, David Hosking.
