AMII conference programme revealed

The Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) has announced the final programme for its 2009 Conference on Wednesday, 17 June at the 4 star Barcelo Hinckley Island Hotel just outside Coventry.

The theme is ‘Promoting Professionalism’ and the programme will include two keynote speakers. Steve Jenkins, CII’s Business Development Director who will dovetail his presentation with the conference’s theme touching on the work that AMII has done with the CII on developing a PMI specific qualification.†

This will be immediately followed by a Panel Debate on what professionalism means for a PMI intermediary, chaired by Andy Couchman. The second keynote speaker will be Jim Lawless, one of the most highly acclaimed and sought after business speakers in Europe.

During the day there will be a number of seminar sessions on topical subjects from which delegates can chose:

Session One:
a) Tackling the ticking time bomb (an examination of musculoskeletal conditions) – Mark Sharpe, Clinical Development Manager, Aviva
b) Is work really good for my health? – Simon Thompson and Mary Rafferty, Bupa
c) Introduction to PMI, learn more about opportunities in the market – Michael Payne, General Secretary, AMII

Session Two:
a) Cardiac Disease & Stroke, an Introduction – Chris Adams, Commercial Director, HCA International
b) FlexAbility, realising the potential – Dave Matthews, Bupa B2B Sales

Session Three:
a) How, in the present economic climate, can Intermediaries provide support to clients and identify solutions for employees’ health and wellbeing? – Martyn Anthony, Head of Specialist Services, Bupa Wellness
b) Reap The Rewards From International PMI – Carl Carter – Chairman of the Association of International Medical Insurance Providers, & Managing Director of IMG Europe Ltd.
