Softwire Technology recognised for commitment to employee health and wellbeing

Softwire Technology has been awarded the Simplyhealth Healthy Workplace award in recognition of its commitment to employee health and wellbeing.

The awards recognise the contribution that UK organisations make to the welfare of employees; winners of the awards provide staff with a range of initiatives and benefits to help the workforce stay motivated and healthy.

Zoe Cunningham, spokesperson for Softwire Technology, said: “We actively encourage all 60 of our employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

“We provide free eye tests for visual display unit (VDU) users and undertake regular workplace risk assessments to ensure staff have the most appropriate work environment for their needs.

“In addition, we provide our employees with free fresh fruit on a daily basis and regularly organise active team-building days, most recently taking up the tree top challenge at an outdoor adventure centre.”

James Glover, sales and marketing director at Simplyhealth, added: “We run this award scheme because we want to recognise and encourage organisations to care about the health of their people.

“We believe that organisations can make a positive contribution to the health of our nation. Congratulations to Softwire Technology on achieving Simplyhealth Healthy Workplace status, and demonstrating that the health and wellbeing of its employees is fundamental.”
