Winning an Employee Benefits award put Bwin.Party on the map, said Debi Povey, head of reward at Bwin.Party, during an interview with Debbie Lovewell-Tuck, deputy editor of Employee Benefits.
Bwin.Party won the award for ‘Best international benefits’ at the Employee Benefits Awards 2013.
She added: “The award was because of a huge amount of work that myself and my team put in, and it was to achieve quite a significant milestone, following the merger of two organisations, Bwin and Party Poker.
“We had a very large number of employees and totally different strategic approaches to benefits and reward. Our project, for which we won the award, was to combine, harmonise and align all those different situations.”
The organisation launched total reward statements, a global recognition scheme, as well as flexible benefits in six countries across a very different strategic and legislative roadmap.
“It means that everyone feels a part of this one game plan,” added Povey. “We’re moving forward. We have the flexibility and technology to do that in a strategic way, but we’ve also future-proofed for anything we might think about doing next week or next year.”
