Comet has switched providers for its online voluntary benefits scheme.
The electrical retailer previously provided an online voluntary benefits scheme for two years with a different provider but felt that it was not getting value for money for its 10,000 UK staff.
Its new online portal, which has been rebranded under the banner ‘I Get More’, is provided by Asperity Employee Benefits.
Richard Beeby, group reward manager at Comet, said: “We went to tender. [Asperity] understood our business and the challenges that multi-site retailers have. Some of the other providers were great for single-site businesses but did not understand the complexities of providing reward for staff across many sites.”
The online scheme will include an employee discounts programme, as well as acting as a central portal for all of Comet’s reward materials.

Beeby added: “We have a staff magazine that is centrally produced so we are going with two full-page adverts in that. There will also be posters that are a bit tongue-in-cheek, messages on payslips, and all of our in-store till systems are communication tools so we can send messages straight to staff.”
