Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work hosted an Olympics-themed ‘Winner Takes It All’ event on Friday 5 August 2016 as part of its summer activity programme.

The event was open to employees from the 45 organisations on site, which include Ericsson, Halliburton, Swarovski, and the Walt Disney Company.

The lunchtime event, which ran between 12pm and 2pm, included a mix of head-to-head challenges, individual events and traditional sports day activities, as well as music, parades and refreshments.

Around 8,000 employees from the west London-based business community had the opportunity to take part in activities such as fencing, archery, a bungee run, cycle simulators, rowing, sack races, egg and spoon races, three-legged races and a tug of war.

Street food and ice creams were provided for staff to enjoy as they listened to music or watched the podium presentations where winners could collect their medals.

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work’s summer activity programme aims to boost employee engagement and wellbeing. It includes a range of Friday lunchtime activities such as an animal petting zoo, a sandy beach, a zip wire, and summer concert.

Carly Gibbs, events manager at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, said: “The Olympic Games will be a world-class spectacle and we have decided to bring the Rio feel-good fever to [employees] at Chiswick Park.

“We believe that sporting events allow employees to get active and provides [them] with opportunities to connect with new people, which helps in making them feel valued and motivated to do their best at work. Friday’s event has been a fantastic success and we are delighted to provide [employees] with this lunch hour boost.”
