London Overground launches online voluntary benefits plan

London Overground Rail Operations (LOROL) has launched an online voluntary benefits programme.

The LOROL Extras website, which was rolled out on 1 August, includes telephone and online discount codes to save money on purchases, such as clothes, music and do-it-yourself items, as well as insurance policies and hotel bookings.

Employees can also receive cashback on everyday purchases, holiday booking and mobile phone contract renewal.

The new website also provides staff with a total reward statement so they can better understand how reward and benefits affect their overall annual salary.

London Overground intends to add further benefits to the scheme, such as discounted gym membership, and discounts across a wide range of shops and activities, including family days out.

Alison Bell, HR business partner at London Overground, said: “LOROL already offers a strong package of benefits for employees. These include reciprocal travel benefits, a final salary pension scheme, a bikes-for-work scheme, childcare vouchers, access to an employee assistance programme and an option to buy into a health cash plan.

“Although many of these core benefits have been available to employees for a number of years, the launch of the LOROL Extras website is a great opportunity to increase knowledge and awareness around exactly what benefits are on offer and how employees can access them.

“There will be a special offer every week, which employees can see on the website homepage, so there’s sure to be something to appeal to everyone.”
