South Wales Police has appointed Capita Hartshead to provide pensions administration services for its pension scheme.
From November, Capita Hartshead will provide administration and payroll services for the 6,200 members of the Police Pension Scheme, which is currently administered by the County Council.
Steve Birks, public sector operations director at Capita Hartshead, said: “We have a long, successful track record of working with police authorities. This experience was invaluable in understanding the specific challenges faced by the South Wales Police and helped us create a tailored solution to meet their needs.”
A spokesman at South Wales Police, said: “As part of the ACPO Police Framework agreement, we were able to select Capita Hartshead who effectively demonstrated their leading edge administration capability combined with a strong understanding of our specific requirements.”
