Over the last couple of months we’ve had many conversations with HR leaders who are working incredibly hard to support their people and companies through this time.
Whilst many of us are maintaining our ‘swan-like presence’ for our Zoom meetings, beneath the water we’re paddling like crazy as the speed and frequency of change can be hard to keep up with. On top of the normal HR duties of hiring, remote on-boarding, training, understanding your children’s math homework or refereeing bust ups over morning tea snacks, we’re also running pandemic crisis management meetings, business continuity and return-to-work planning meetings and increasing company-wide communications to keep employees abreast of the rapidly changing environment.
It’s been inspiring to see how many teams have been able to improve how they connect with, recognize and support each other using innovative technology and tools.
