Grantley Hall launches employee engagement platform

Luxury five-star hotel Grantley Hall has launched a new employee engagement platform to help it attract and retain both local and global talent.

The Grantley Gateway platform, provided by Reward Gateway, was initially introduced to the hotel’s 25 employees in September 2018, followed by an official launch in November 2018. The platform has deliberately been implemented prior to Grantley Hall’s opening, scheduled for spring 2019, in order to enable pending employees to still access the available benefits as part of the organisation’s onboarding process. The hotel, based in North Yorkshire, plans to increase its headcount to 200 staff over the next few months.

Grantley Gateway features a number of new employee benefits, including a cycle to work scheme, retail discounts and a wellbeing hub, designed to complement Grantley Hall’s existing wellbeing strategy. The platform will additionally be used to award gifts to employees when they get married, have a baby, win Team Hero of the Month or when they achieve a length of service award.

The new platform will further form part of the hotel’s recognition approach, as it enables staff to thank each other and celebrate employee birthdays. Peers can also reward each other for showcasing the hotel’s five core values: magical, respectful, innovative, passionate and consistent.

Also added to the platform is Grantley Hall’s existing healthcare benefit, annual leave and local discounts, as well as general reward information.

Grantley Gateway will enhance the hotel’s internal communications strategy too, enabling offline employees to access organisational news and updates via their phones or a hub in the staff room. It will also be available for those participating in Grantley Hall’s training academy.
