Domestic & General partner with onHand to engage employees with sustainability action and local volunteering.

Leading appliance repair service Domestic & General has partnered with onHand to let employees easily take sustainability action, as well as create an impact in their local communities through volunteering.

Using the platform, employees can take Co2e tracked pledges to reduce their Co2 emissions and also find volunteering opportunities in their local area. All good deeds completed are rewarded with trees planted by onHand in the Southern Hemisphere.

Domestic & General have a strong commitment to sustainability and aim to help consumers repair or recycle their appliances to lessen the Co2 emissions, waste output and water usage required to build and buy new.

This new initiative allows employees to contribute to the vision of a greener future with their own actions. Since launching in the summer of 2022, employees have completed over 500 volunteering missions and have planted over 15,100 trees through onHand.

Jane Enright, Head of Brand at Domestic & General says, “We’re delighted to partner with onHand’s tech for good platform to give our employees easy ways to change behaviour to become more sustainable and help local communities. This lets all our teams live and breathe our sustainability goals and we can’t wait to see what impact we can create this year.”
