Aster bolsters health plan for its 1,440 employees

Housing business Aster Group is introducing an enhanced health and wellbeing benefits plan for its 1,440 employees through its partnership with health provider Simplyhealth.

Employees at the organisation will receive access to health products and services, and wellbeing support through a business-wide health cash plan. They will also have access to a 24/7 GP advice service and virtual physiotherapy sessions.

The benefit also features a Coronavirus Hub, an area specifically focusing on employee mental and physical health during the pandemic, with informative blogs and articles easily accessible online.

Holly Coe, head of reward and people operations at Aster, said: “At Aster, we’ve provided a health cash plan for our employees for many years. As part of a review of our wider benefits offering for all our employees, and with good take up of this benefit across the business, we wanted to continue to provide this to help support a healthier lifestyle.

“Simplyhealth was able to offer us a competitive package and also offer us some enhanced and new benefits including virtual physiotherapy, which we believe based on claims data, our employees will value, particularly at this time.”
